Preserving Our Past,
Inspiring Our Future
A sanctuary for our community since the industrial era.
Our History
Located in the heart of Glyncorrwg, Noddfa Community Centre has been a cornerstone of our village heritage for generations. Originally established to support the local mining community during the height of the industrial era, it served as a vital hub for miners and their families.
The name 'Noddfa' translates to 'Sanctuary' in Welsh—a fitting title for a place that provided safety, learning, and cultural preservation when the community needed it most. It was here that the local choir practiced, where political discussions took place, and where the resilience of Glyncorrwg was forged.
Today, we continue this legacy by fostering a vibrant environment for all residents. We honor our past through community archives and traditional events while building a sustainable future together through modern education, health programs, and social gatherings.
